Welcome! I am a cognitive psychologist interested in visual memory. Daily life involves remembering information, from a phone number to a friends face. These little tasks are possible due to working memory, a core cognitive ability where information is held "in mind" to support our behavioral goals (e.g., entering the phone number, finding your friend's face in a café). I use behavioral work and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to explore the behavioral and neural mechanisms underlying working memory.
Recently I completed my PhD in experimental psychology at UC San Diego with John Serences. In August 2025, I will start as a postdoc in Anastasia Kiyonaga's lab at UC San Diego.
I have extensive experience designing and teaching courses as an instructor of record, and I integrate evidence-based and inclusive practices in all aspects of my courses. As an instructor, I strive to create an intellectually-stimulating and welcoming environment...and hopefully spark some joy and curiosity along the way.
